Quick guide to online shopping.
One of the best opportunities on the internet is ONLINE SHOPPING! People I’m a fan…….The upside is tremendous particularly for those who can’t get out to go shopping as conveniently as before. As a practical matter there is virtually nothing you can’t order online and have delivered to your front door.
(Let me say here that I’ve always been a fan of “Shop at home”. And I still do quite a bit……Haircut, Attorney, Groceries (particularly fresh produce or perishable items), Fuel/light auto repair, Restaurant/Bar & Grill, Banking, Doctor and so on.
However it is a truth that for most Seniors getting out and driving 60 or 150 miles round trip to shopping mall or big box store is really inconvenient and time consuming and expensive. Online shopping is really the way to go! I’m sorry it flies in the face of tradition but it’s one of those things we need to suck it up and take advantage of.
There are countless places to shop online and the biggest is Amazon. Walmart, eBay, all of your major large retail companies and a goodly number of smaller, regional type businesses have an online presence, not to mention specialty items, crafts on Etsy for instance. Facebook has Marketplace that will let you shop for items in your local area that are for sale by individuals in the area. The options are pretty much endless
